Emerald Rathgeber is a Registered Massage Therapist who completed her 3000-hour training at OVCMT in Vernon, BC—one of Canada’s most comprehensive massage therapy programs. Since graduating in 2014, she has developed a practice rooted in clinical reasoning, hands-on skill, and a strong interest in solving complex presentations.
At the core of Emerald’s work is a deep tissue, therapeutic approach. She is known for working with clients who feel like a “puzzle”—cases where pain is persistent, patterns are layered, or previous treatments haven’t fully resolved the issue. Her focus is not on temporarily easing symptoms, but on identifying and addressing the underlying causes of tension and dysfunction.
Her interest in craniosacral therapy grew from this same mindset. When traditional manual approaches reach their limits, she integrates craniosacral techniques to assess and treat the nervous system more directly. This allows her to approach the body from a different angle—often helping to unlock patterns that haven’t responded to more structural work alone.
Emerald’s treatments are intentional and adaptive. She considers how different areas of the body influence one another and evolves the treatment plan as the body responds, rather than staying fixed on a single area or approach.
Outside of the clinic, Emerald continues to explore a range of healing modalities, including herbal medicine and traditional approaches to health, expanding her understanding of how to support the body as a whole.
